Camera movement and editing:

  1) Pick  three   aspects of  camera movement  in the Minority Report clip. Identify the  type  of camera movement and write about why the director chose to use that camera movement in the scene and what effect it has on the audience. handheld:  In this scene the camera movement is handheld  it adds a sense of an ease to the scene. the characters behind this man is about to chase him and telling him not to run but he is about to run. Track/Dolly:  2) Pick  two  aspects of  editing  in the Minority Report clip and write about what effect it has on the audience. 3) Finally, revise last week's work on camerawork by picking out  two   shots  or  camera angles  in the clip that communicate meaning to the audience.

 1) Choose  THREE  aspects of mise-en-scene (e.g. costume, lighting and setting) and write a short paragraph for  each  about the  denotation  and  connotation  and what is communicated to the audience.   costume: the character at the start is wearing a white lab coat. this suggest that the man work  in a hospital or in a laboratory. Lightning: There are tube lights flashing as  the man is running and the lights are flashing in the elevator as well. This makes  the audience feel scared because there is no other lights and it is dark. so this creates a sense of danger. Actor placement/movement/expression: The character in the beginning is running to escape from the place where he is. While the character is running he is always at the centre of the screen. he is sweating. he keeps pressing the elevator button with urgency and he keeps looking back. he looks scared and he is breathing heavily: the actors placement, movement a...
